(2011) adapted and directed multimedia performance The Glass Menagerie by T. Williams, The Capstone Theatre, Liverpool and Kolectiv Ltd.

Theatre |The Cherry Orchard

The Cherry Orchard originated as a commotion for Liverpool Capital of Culture 2008. Chekhov play was adapted into a site specific promenade performance developing from ambient of Georgian estate, playing though out the house and the garden to approximately 20 spectators per night. Subsequently, the original performance  went through cycles as it transformed for each tour based on a site specific spacial and cultural contexts necessitated by the location it took place playing in a different location in London, Manchester, and internationally in Serbia and Iran. Each performance was another cycle adapting performance material to its new location,  and audience experience, and as a result providing new mise-en-scene and audience experience.

The overall concept of the production was to create several points of views and perceptions, giving voice to a number of different characters through solo performances. In this method dramaturgical cuts to more than 30 % of the original Chekov’s text was adding  performers monologues and scenes/images of the scenes suggested in the text but not  there created radical re-staging of the canonical text, emphasising other ways of representation.
